Ingredients

3 kg pork belly , with skin
130 g coarse salt
1 pinch five-spice powder
Roast Pork (Chinese Style) is a classic dish that can be enjoyed at home or in Chinese restaurants. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 220°C.
2.Score the pork belly skin with a sharp knife, making cuts about 1cm apart. Be careful not to cut through to the meat.
3.Rub the salt and five-spice powder all over the pork, including the skin.
4.Place the pork on a rack in a roasting tin with the skin facing up.
5.Roast for 30 minutes, then reduce the heat to 180°C and roast for a further 1-1 1/2 hours until the skin is crispy and the pork is cooked through.
6.Remove from oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
