Ingredients

2 habanero peppers
3 garlic cloves
1/2 onion , finely chopped
4 tomatoes , chopped
1/2 cup oil
1 lb beef or 1 lb chicken , cubed
4 tablespoons tomato paste
4 1/4 cups water
1 maggi seasoning , cube ( or chicken bouillon )
2 1/2 cups long grain white rice
salt and pepper

Instructions

1.Finely chop the habanero peppers, garlic cloves, and onion. Chop the tomatoes into small pieces.
2.In a pot, heat the oil over medium heat and add the beef or chicken cubes. Cook until browned.
3.Add the chopped onion, garlic, and habanero peppers to the pot. Stir and cook until the onions are translucent.
4.Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste to the pot. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
5.Pour in the water, maggi seasoning cube or chicken bouillon, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
6.Add the long grain white rice to the pot and stir well. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.
7.Simmer for about 20-25 minutes until the rice is cooked through and the liquid has been absorbed. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
