3 lbs ricotta cheese
4 ounces unsalted butter
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups non-fat powdered milk
1 1/2 cups coarsely crushed almonds
2 teaspoons crushed cardamom
6 edible silver foil , garnish ( Varak ) ( optional )

It resembles a fudge made with ricotta cheese, sugar, milk powder, and almonds, flavored with cardamom powder. Instructions

1.In a large pan, cook the ricotta cheese and butter on medium heat until the cheese is crumbly and all the liquid has evaporated.
2.Next, add the sugar to the pan and mix it well with the ricotta cheese until the sugar dissolves completely.
3.Stir in the powdered milk and mix well, then add the coarsely crushed almonds. Cook the mixture for about 10-12 minutes until it thickens and starts coming off the sides of the pan.
4.Mix in the crushed cardamom and stir well to combine.
5.Take a greased tray and spread the burfi mixture evenly in it using a spatula. Garnish with edible silver foil if desired.
6.Once the burfi has cooled down completely, cut it into square pieces or diamond shapes using a sharp knife. Serve the ricotta cheese burfi chilled or at room temperature.
