Ingredients

3/4 lb Korean Rice Cake ( either tube-shaped or thin ovals )
4 ounces beef , thinly sliced ( any lean grilling cut )
2 teaspoons sesame oil
3 cups water
2 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon garlic , minced
1/4 napa cabbage , coarsely chopped
1/4 carrot
1/2 onion
2 green onions
2 sheets korean fish cakes , cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

1.Heat up sesame oil in a pot or wok. Fry the beef for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
2.Add minced garlic and fry for another minute.
3.Add 3 cups of water, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir well.
4.Add chopped onion and napa cabbage. Keep stirring occasionally and let it cook for 5-7 minutes.
5.Add thin ovals or tube-shaped Rice Cakes, carrots, and Korean fish cakes. Cook for another 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
6.When rice cakes are soft and translucent add salt and pepper. Serve hot!
