Ingredients

1 rack pork back ribs
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon hot mustard powder ( you can use regular dry mustard )
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1/4 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 garlic clove , finely minced
2 tablespoons ketchup
3 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon sriracha sauce

Instructions

1.Preheat the grill to 225°F to 250°F.
2.Mix the Chinese five spice powder, garlic powder, mustard powder, kosher salt, and black pepper in a small bowl and set aside.
3.Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs with a sharp knife.
4.Apply soy sauce all over the ribs and let them sit for 10 minutes.
5.Rub the spice mix all over the ribs and wrap them in foil.
6.Grill the ribs for 3 hours, basting them once every hour with a mixture of hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, Chinese five spice powder, sesame oil, ginger, black pepper, garlic, ketchup, honey, and sriracha.
7.Remove the foil and grill the ribs for 30 minutes more, glazing them with the basting sauce every 10 minutes.
8.Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
