Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef
2 cans Mexican-style tomatoes ( I sometimes use Rotel , depending on if there are little ones eating with us )
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 can diced green chilies
1 can sliced black olives
2 bags plain tortilla chips , crushed
1 lb shredded mozzarella cheese ( I sometimes use a mexican blend cheese )
4 cups sour cream
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir onion and garlic until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
3.Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned and crumbly.
4.Drain excess grease and stir in Mexican-style tomatoes, taco seasoning mix, and green chilies; simmer for 5 minutes.
5.In a large casserole dish, layer crushed tortilla chips, meat mixture, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
6.Spread sour cream over the cheese and top with more crushed tortilla chips and sliced black olives.
7.Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 30 minutes.
