Ingredients

2 slices bread
1/2 cup 2 % low-fat milk

1 egg , slightly beaten
1 small onion , minced
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon cardamom , seed
Pam cooking spray
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 can condensed beef consomme
1 can water
1 cup light cream , at room temperature
1 teaspoon dill weed

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray baking sheet well with Pam spray.
2.In a small bowl soak bread in milk.
3.In a mixing bowl, mix meat, egg, onion and spices together. Squeeze moisture from breads and add to meat mixture.
4.Mix well with a meat mixer or with hands until smooth. Roll into small balls (makes approx. 50 balls).
5.Bake 8-10 minutes or until browned.
6.In a large skillet, whisk together cornstarch, beef consomme and water. Cook over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
7.Add meatballs and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until hot. Do not let the cream boil.
8.Add cream and dill weed. Heat through but do not boil.
