Ingredients

1/2 lb bacon , sliced and cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 medium onion , minced
2 cans cream of potato soup
2 cans cream of celery soup
8 ounces Velveeta cheese ( or another 'processed cheese food )
1 quart milk
1 cup milk
1 box Uncle Bens wild rice , already cooked ( NOTE ( I have not tried this with the new `` Ready Rice '' that is out in some markets but it probably )
salt & pepper
water , as needed , to give desired texture

Instructions

1.In a large pot, cook bacon until crispy and remove from pot.
2.In the bacon grease, cook minced onion until soft and translucent.
3.Add the cream of potato soup, cream of celery soup, Velveeta cheese, quart of milk, and 1 cup of milk to the pot and stir until cheese is melted.
4.Add cooked wild rice to the pot and stir.
5.Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6.If soup is too thick, add water as needed to reach desired texture.
