Ingredients

1 package pillsbury pizza dough ( sold in tubes in refrigerator section with biscuits and ready to bake cookies )
1/2 lb ground beef
onion powder , to taste
garlic powder , to taste
black pepper , to taste
1 cup frozen spinach , thawed
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or 1 cup cheddar cheese
tomato sauce ( I recommend Classico brand )

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3.Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into 8 equal pieces.
4.Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat.
5.Season with onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper to taste.
6.Add the spinach to the skillet and stir until heated through.
7.Remove from heat and set aside.
8.Place 1/8 of the beef mixture on one half of each piece of dough.
9.Top with 1/8 of the cheese.
10.Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges closed.
11.Place the calzones onto the prepared baking sheet.
12.Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
13.Serve with tomato sauce for dipping.
