Ingredients

200 g plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
50 g cocoa
275 g sugar
175 g unsalted butter
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
80 ml sour cream
125 ml boiling water
175 g dark chocolate chips
1 teaspoon cocoa
125 ml water
100 g sugar
25 g dark chocolate ( from a thick chocolate bar )
The Quadruple Chocolate Loaf Cake is a chocolate lover's dream come true. It's made with four types of chocolate – cocoa powder, dark chocolate chips, a chocolate glaze, and melted dark chocolate in the glaze. This cake is rich, moist and incredibly chocolatey, and is sure to satisfy any chocolate cravings. It's perfect for special occasions, or for a cozy night in with a cup of coffee or tea.

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan)
2.Sieve the flour and baking soda together in a bowl then add the cocoa and sugar. Mix together.
3.Melt the butter in a pan then add to the mixture, stir and let it cool.
4.In a separate bowl whisk the eggs with the vanilla extract and sour cream, then combine with the cooled butter mixture.
5.Finish by adding the boiling water, followed by the dark chocolate chips.
6.Pour the mixture into a lightly oiled 9 × 5 inch loaf tin, then bake in the oven for 50–60 minutes until risen and a knife comes out clean.
7.To make the chocolate glaze, mix together cocoa, sugar and water. Bring to a boil while stirring, then add dark chocolate from a thick chocolate bar and stir until it has melted into the mixture. Let the glaze cool slightly and pour over the cake. Leave to set in a cool place.
