Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt. Mix well.
2.Gradually add water and knead until the dough is smooth and pliable.
3.Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
4.Divide the dough into 10-12 portions. Roll each portion into a ball.
5.Dust the rolling surface with some flour and take one ball. Press it down then coat it with more flour for easy rolling.
6.Roll the dough out into a thin, circular shape. It should be about 6 inches in diameter.
7.Heat a tawa or a griddle on medium heat.
8.Place the rolled out dough on the tawa. Cook for about 30 seconds on each side or until it starts to puff up.
9.Remove from the tawa and brush with some butter.
10.Serve hot with your favorite curry or dal.
