3/4 cup pure pumpkin puree

2 sheets puff pastry , thawed ( one 17.3-ounce package )
all-purpose flour , for rolling
2 ounces cream cheese , at room temperature
4 teaspoons whole milk
1 tabelspoon pure maple syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2.In a medium bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
3.On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets into a 12x16 inch rectangle each.
4.Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut each sheet into 8 equal-sized rectangles. (16 rectangles in total)
5.Spread 1 tablespoon of the pumpkin mixture onto 8 of the rectangles, leaving a 1/4 inch border around the edges.
6.Top with the remaining 8 rectangles and use the tines of a fork to firmly crimp and seal the edges.
7.Use a sharp knife to cut slits on top of each Pop Tart to allow steam to escape while baking.
8.In a small bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, whole milk, maple syrup, and salt.
9.Using a pastry brush, brush each Pop Tart with the cream cheese mixture.
10.Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
