Ingredients

5 cups glutinous rice
4 1/2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 cup grated fesh coconut
2 screwpine leaves
1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1.Wash glutinous rice and soak it for at least 4 hours.
2.Drain the rice and add 4 1/2 cups of water, turmeric powder, and screwpine leaves. Mix well and let it soak for at least 30 minutes.
3.Place the mixture in a pot and steam it on medium heat for about 30 minutes.
4.Remove from heat and let it cool for 10 minutes.
5.Once cooled, fluff up the rice with a spoon and add grated coconut and salt. Mix well and let it steam for another 5 minutes.
