Ingredients

1 1/3 cups uncooked white rice
9 ounces peeled and deveined tiger prawns
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 whole cloves
4 whole cardamom seeds
2 cinnamon sticks
salt to taste
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
2 cubes chicken bouillon

Instructions

1.Rinse the rice in cold water, drain and set aside.

6.Add the rice to the saucepan and stir for 1 minute until the rice is evenly coated with the bouillon.
7.Add the prawns and spice mixture to the rice, and stir until everything is evenly mixed.
8.Cover the saucepan with a tight-fitting lid or aluminium foil, and cook over low heat for 25 minutes until the rice is fluffy and the prawns are fully cooked.
9.Remove from heat, and let the biryani rest for 5 minutes.
10.Fluff the biryani with a fork and serve hot with raita.
