Ingredients

1/2 cup vegetable oil
24 slices white bread ( see Notes )
170 g crabmeat , drained
1 egg , separated
1 teaspoon cornflour
2 spring onions , finely chopped
2 teaspoons plum sauce
24 small uncooked prawns
extra plum sauce , to serve
fresh herb , to garnish
red pepper , strips to garnish
Prawn and Crab Tarts are a perfect appetizer for any seafood lover. The combination of prawn and crabmeat is delicious and flavorful, and the tarts are easy to make. These tarts can be served as an appetizer or a main course for lunch or dinner and are perfect for any occasion. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 200°C.
2.Brush both sides of the bread slices with vegetable oil and use a rolling pin to flatten.
3.Use a 7cm pastry cutter to cut two rounds from each slice, then press into a greased 12-hole, 1 1/2 tablesp.
4.Beat the egg white with a fork until frothy, then brush over the bread mixture.
5.Mix cornflour, onion and plum sauce in a bowl and spoon a little of this mixture into each tart shell.
6.Top with a little crabmeat.
7.Peel the prawns, leaving the last segment and tail shell attached and then devein.
8.Cut each prawn in half lengthways and place some in each tart shell, then brush with egg yolk.
9.Place the tarts on an oven tray and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown on top and prawns are cooked.
10.Serve with extra plum sauce, garnished with fresh herbs and red pepper strips.
