Ingredients

2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup low-fat margarine
1 stick low-fat butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup orange juice
2 1/2 tablespoons irish cream ( bailey 's is great )
4 large eggs , separated
1 cup dulce de leche
1/2 cup sliced almonds

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan and dust with flour.
2.In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
3.In a large bowl, cream together sugar, margarine, and butter until fluffy. Gradually beat in vanilla, orange juice and Irish cream.
4.Add egg yolks one at a time to the mixture and beat well after each addition.
5.Fold in the flour mixture until the batter is smooth.
6.In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold in the egg whites gently with a rubber spatula.
7.Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle dollops of dulce de leche filling on top of the batter and swirl gently. Pour remaining batter on top.
8.Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of the cake.
9.Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool on wire rack.
10.Optional: Drizzle extra dulce de leche on top of cake right before serving.
