2 cups table cream
3 cloves garlic , smashed
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 lbs yukon gold potatoes , very thinly sliced
1/2 cup thin strips roasted red pepper , patted dry
1/2 1/2 cup oka cheese or 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
Potato & Roasted Red Pepper Dauphinois is a French culinary classic that originated in the Dauphine region. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.In a medium pot, heat the cream, garlic, salt and pepper over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
3.While the cream heats, generously grease a 9 inch (23 cm) baking dish with butter or oil.
4.Layer a third of the potato slices on the bottom of the dish and pour a third of the cream over them.
5.Add another layer of potato slices and cream, and then a final layer of potato slices and cream.
6.Scatter the roasted red pepper evenly over the top layer and sprinkle with cheese.
7.Bake for 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender.
