Ingredients

4 pork loin chops
salt , to taste
fresh ground pepper , to taste
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 large onions , thinly sliced ( about 1/4 each )
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
3/4 cup blond pilsener-style belgian beer , such as Duvel
1 -2 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon white wine vinegar or 1/2 teaspoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon finely minced fresh parsley , for garnish
These juicy pork chops are cooked to perfection with a flavorful beer-based sauce, caramelized onions, and Brussels sprouts. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
2.Dredge the pork chops in flour, shaking off any excess.
3.In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and oil. Sear the pork chops until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer the chops to a plate.
4.In the same skillet, add onions and thyme. Cook until the onions are caramelized and softened, about 10 minutes.
5.Pour in the beer and bring it to a boil, scraping any brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the pork chops and any accumulated juices back into the pan, then roast in the oven until the pork chops are cooked through and tender, about 10-12 minutes.
6.Dissolve the cornstarch in water and add it to the skillet, stirring until the sauce thickens. Stir in vinegar and parsley. Serve the chops hot, garnished with more parsley and Brussels sprouts.
