64 ounces grain alcohol
40 ounces honey

1 vanilla bean , split
20 whole cloves
4 sticks cinnamon
10 allspice berries
10 black peppercorns
1 nutmeg
5 clementines

1 -4 cup bottled water , as needed

Instructions

1.In a large pot, bring the grain alcohol, honey, brown sugar, and water to a boil.
2.Reduce the heat and add the split vanilla bean, whole cloves, cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, black peppercorns, and grated nutmeg.
3.Peel the clementines, reserving the peels. Squeeze the juice from the clementines and add it to the pot.
4.Add the orange extract and the reserved clementine peels to the pot.
5.Allow the mixture to simmer for 30 minutes.
6.Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
7.Allow the liqueur to cool and bottle it in sterilized glass jars.
8.If the mixture is too strong, dilute it with water until it reaches the desired strength.
