Ingredients

3 cups water

1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup yellow cornmeal
3 cups milk ( or you can use 1 1/2 cups milk and 1 1/2 cups half-and-half )
2 bay leaves
6 whole cloves
6 allspice berries
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup crumbled gorgonzola or 1 cup other blue cheese
salt and pepper
ground nutmeg
1/3 cup parmesan cheese , grated

Instructions

4.Remove bay leaves, cloves, and allspice berries from the mixture. Add butter, flour, and gorgonzola or other blue cheese. Whisk constantly until melted.
5.Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg and pour mixture into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top.
6.Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
