Ingredients

6 large eggs , beaten
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup margarine , melted ( not butter )
1/2 cup canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla , to taste
1 teaspoon almond extract , to taste ( optional )
3 tablespoons anise extract ( one whole 1 ounce bottle )
4 cups all-purpose white flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
powdered sugar , to dust cookies ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat your Pizzelle maker or Iron.
2.In a bowl, mix together the eggs and sugar until well combined.

4.Combine flour and baking powder in another bowl and add it to the liquid mixture.
5.Mix everything together properly until you get a thick dough.
6.Once your pizzelle maker is hot enough, add a dollop of batter.
7.Leave it to cook for about 45-60 seconds or as per your Pizzelle maker's specifications.
8.Carefully remove the cooked Pizelles from the maker and place them on a cooling rack to cool.
9.Dust with powdered sugar.
10.Repeat the process until all of the dough is used up.
