Ingredients

1 can crushed pineapple , well drained
1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest
2 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
6 ounces cream cheese
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons sugar
1 egg yolk ( white will be used for brushing over assembled pastry )
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup confectioners ' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 -2 teaspoon orange juice or 1 -2 teaspoon milk
1 can crescent roll dough

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.In a medium saucepan, combine crushed pineapple, honey, orange zest, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat until well blended. Set aside to cool.
3.In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cornstarch, sugar, egg yolk, vanilla extract, cardamom, and cinnamon. Beat together until smooth.
4.On a lightly floured surface, unroll the crescent dough. Separate into triangles.
5.Spoon 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each crescent triangle. Top mixture with 1 tablespoon of the pineapple mixture.
6.Roll-up the crescent triangles starting from the widest end towards the tip.
7.Place rolls on an ungreased baking sheet with the tip underneath.
8.In a small bowl, beat egg white until frothy.
9.Brush egg white over crescent rolls and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
10.In a small bowl, whisk together confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract, and orange juice/milk to form a glaze.
11.Drizzle glaze over hot rolls. Serve warm and enjoy!
