8 ounces leeks , sliced | |
1 lb lean boneless pork , cut into 1-inch cubes | |
5 fluid ounces milk | |
2 1/2 fluid ounces table cream | |
2 eggs , lightly beaten | |
8 ounces frozen puff pastry , thawed according to package directions |
1. | Preheat the oven to 400°F. |
2. | In a pan over medium heat, sauté the leeks until soft and tender. Set aside. |
3. | In the same pan, brown the pork cubes. Remove from heat. |
4. | In a bowl, mix together the milk, cream, and eggs. |
5. | Roll out the puff pastry and cut into two rectangles. |
6. | Place one rectangle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. |
7. | Layer the sautéed leeks on top, followed by the browned pork. |
8. | Pour the egg mixture over the pork and top with the other rectangle of puff pastry. |
9. | Press the edges together to seal and cut a few slits on top for steam to escape. |
10. | Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve hot. |
