8 ounces cream cheese , cut in lengths of 1/4-inch square
3 ounces smoked salmon
2 English cucumbers , cut in lengths of 1/4-inch square
2 pieces toasted nori ( sushi grade seaweed )
1 cup sushi rice
Philadelphia Roll Sushi is a type of sushi developed in the United States by combining traditional Japanese flavors with American ingredients in the 1980s. As a result, it became a popular local dish in America. This dish is known for its unique combination of cream cheese, smoked salmon, and cucumber. The creamy flavor of the cream cheese combines well with the salty, smoky flavor of the salmon, and the cucumber adds a refreshing crunch to the dish. Instructions

1.Rinse the sushi rice thoroughly and put it in a pot with 1 cup of water.
2.Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
3.Remove from heat and let it cool for 10 minutes.
4.Mix the rice vinegar and sugar together in a small bowl, stirring until fully dissolved. Slowly pour this mixture into the sushi rice and mix well.
5.Lay a sheet of nori flat on your mat.
6.Wet your fingers and grab a small handful of sushi rice, spreading it evenly over the nori sheet. Make sure the rice covers the whole seaweed sheet.
7.Flip the seaweed sheet over so that the rice is facing down on the mat.
8.In the center of the sheet, place the cream cheese, smoked salmon, and cucumber horizontally.
9.Pick up the edge of the mat closest to you and roll the nori and filling away from you, gripping the filling with your fingers and applying a little pressure while rolling to ensure a tight roll.
10.Once rolled, lift the mat again and roll the rest of the nori sheet up in the mat, applying a little pressure to make sure the roll stays in shape.
11.Once fully rolled, take the sushi roll out of the mat and cut it into bite-sized pieces with a sharp knife.
