Persian Rice Pudding, also known as Sheer Berenj, is a popular dessert in Iranian cuisine. The dish features a combination of aromatic rose water and tender rice cooked in rich dairy. It is usually served chilled and topped with honey, jam, or nuts. Its delicate flavor and creamy texture make it an excellent dessert option. The creamy texture comes from the use of half-and-half cream, and the rice is cooked until it is soft. It is best made a day in advance, allowing the flavors to develop overnight in the fridge. The result is an amazing spread for your loved ones.

Instructions

1.Rinse the rice with cold water in a fine-mesh strainer until the water runs clear.

3.Add the half-and-half cream, 2% milk, rose water and stir well. Bring it back to boil.
