Ingredients

500 g flour
40 g fresh yeast
250 -275 ml warm water
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons cornflour ( optional )
1 teaspoon black sesame
Persian Flat Bread, also known as Barbari, is a traditional bread from Iran that has gained popularity around the world for its delicious taste and texture. Instructions

1.In a small bowl, dissolve the brown sugar in warm water and sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it sit for 10 minutes until the yeast is activated.
2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, black sesame, and olive oil.
3.Add the yeast water mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
4.Knead the dough with your hands or a stand mixer until it is smooth and elastic.
5.Cover the dough and let it rest for 30-40 minutes to rise.
6.Preheat the oven to 220°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
7.Divide the dough into three equal pieces and roll each piece to make a long oval shape.
8.Place the dough on the lined tray and press your fingertips in a straight line to make shallow indentations on the surface.
9.Brush the dough with olive oil and sprinkle cornflour on top (optional).
10.Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bread is golden brown on top.
