1 tablespoon sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 175°C.
2.In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy.
3.Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
4.Gradually add flour and mix until well combined.
5.Press dough into an 8-inch square baking pan.
6.Use a fork to prick the dough all over.
7.Sprinkle extra sugar on top.
8.Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
9.Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes then cut into squares.
