1 cup butter , at room temperature | |
3/4 cup sugar | |
1 tablespoon sugar | |
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1. | Preheat oven to 175°C. |
2. | In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy. |
3. | Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. |
4. | Gradually add flour and mix until well combined. |
5. | Press dough into an 8-inch square baking pan. |
6. | Use a fork to prick the dough all over. |
7. | Sprinkle extra sugar on top. |
8. | Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. |
9. | Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes then cut into squares. |
10. | Enjoy! |
