65 g brown sugar
185 g self raising flour
125 ml milk
1 egg
80 g butter , melted Cooled
2 tablespoons golden syrup
75 g pecans , chopped
100 g brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornflour
60 ml golden syrup
310 ml boiling water

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced).
2.Grease 6-cup-capacity ovenproof dish.
3.Combine brown sugar and flour in a large bowl.
4.Whisk milk, egg, butter, and golden syrup in a small jug.
5.Stir milk mixture into flour mixture.
6.Fold through pecans.
7.Transfer mixture to prepared dish.
8.Combine brown sugar and cornflour in a small bowl.
9.Sprinkle mixture over pudding.
10.Whisk golden syrup and boiling water in a jug.
11.Pour mixture over the back of a spoon over mixture.
12.Bake pudding for 35 to 40 minutes or until cooked through (pudding is cooked when a skewer inserted halfway into edge comes out clean).
13.Stand for 5 minutes.
14.Dust with icing sugar and serve hot.
