Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F.
2.Season the pork hocks with salt and pepper and coat them in flour.

4.Add the hocks to the pot and sprinkle with onion salt, garlic powder, allspice, and nutmeg.
5.Pour enough water to just cover the hocks and bring it to a boil.
6.Transfer the pot to the oven and let it cook for 3-4 hours until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
7.Remove the hocks from the pot and set aside.
8.To make the sauce, pour the cooking liquid through a fine-mesh strainer and return it to the pot.
9.In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining flour, dehydrated onion chips, and egg.
10.Pour this mixture into the sauce and let it cook over medium heat until it thickens.
11.Return the hocks to the pot and let them simmer in the sauce for 10-15 minutes.
12.Serve hot and enjoy!
