Papri-Krout is a traditional Eastern European dish that's made with sauerkraut (sour cabbage) instead of savoy cabbage. This version of the recipe, using savoy cabbage, is a pared-down version that's easier to make. The dish is nutritious and is a great option for a family meal or a dinner party. The spices used in the recipe make this dish a flavorsome and delicious alternative to regular sausage and cabbage recipes.

Instructions

1.Cut the savoy cabbage into thin strips. Sauté the cabbage for about 10 minutes in a pan with melted butter and olive oil. Add a pinch of salt.
2.Slice the onion and add it to the pan with the cabbage. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
3.Cut the spicy sausage into bite-sized pieces and add it to the pan with the cabbage and onion. Cook for approximately 10 minutes or until the sausage is cooked through.
4.Add the diced potato, sliced green pepper, cider vinegar, salt, black pepper, caraway seed, and paprika. Cook the mixture for another 10 minutes.
5.Serve the Papri-Krout hot, garnished with a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
