Instructions

1.In a bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt, and anise seeds
2.Add yeast and mix well
3.Heat milk, water and butter in a saucepan over low heat until butter melts, add to the bowl and mix well
4.In a separate bowl, beat eggs together, then add to the mix slowly
5.Stir in flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until dough comes together
6.Knead for 10 minutes until soft and pliable, shape into a ball and let it rise in a greased bowl covered with a damp cloth for 1 hour
7.Knead again briefly and shape the dough into bones and a skull
8.Transfer to a baking sheet and let it rise again for 30 minutes
9.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and bake for 20-30 minutes
10.Before serving, brush with melted butter and sprinkle sugar on the top
