3 teaspoons salt , - 15 gr
4 large eggs , - 250 gr ( approx 1 cup )
3 teaspoons toasted anise , - 15 gr
7 ounces butter , - 200 gr
1 ounce vanilla essence , - 3 ml ( slightly more than 1/2 tsp )
1 ounce cherimoya , essence - 3 ml ( slightly more than 1/2 tsp )
lard , for greasing baking tins ( or shortening )
sesame seeds ( to garnish )

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, combine the bread flour, yeast, and 350ml water.
2.Mix well until a soft dough forms, adding more water if necessary.

4.Knead the dough for 10-15 minutes until smooth and elastic.
5.Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 2 hours.
6.Preheat the oven to 180°C.
7.Divide the dough into 10 equal pieces and shape them into balls.
8.Flatten each ball into a disc and place in greased baking tins.
9.Brush the tops of the bread with water and sprinkle sesame seeds over them.
10.Bake for approximately 35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown on the outside and cooked through on the inside.
