Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs ground lamb or 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 small eggplant , unpeeled and finely chopped ( about 3/4 lb . )
1 1/3 cups French-fried onions , chopped
1 egg , beaten
1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

1.Preheat grill to high heat.
2.In a large bowl, combine ground lamb or beef, chopped eggplant, 1 cup of chopped French-fried onions, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
3.Divide the meat mixture into 16 equal portions and shape each into a ball. Thread meatballs onto metal skewers, alternating with the remaining French-fried onions.
4.Grill kabobs for about 8-10 minutes, turning every 2 minutes, until meat is fully cooked and lightly browned. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
