12 egg yolks
1 can condensed milk
1 pint milk

Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 375°F.
2.Start by caramelizing the sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until sugar melts and turns into a thick amber liquid. Turn off the heat and pour the caramel into a metal loaf or round mold.
3.In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, condensed milk, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
4.Pour the mixture through a fine sieve and into the mold with the caramel.
5.Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a bain-marie (water bath) for about 45 minutes or until the flan is set with a slight jiggle in the middle.
6.Remove from the oven and let the flan cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
7.To serve, run a knife around the edges of the mold, and invert onto a plate to release the flan, with the caramel sauce on top.
