Ingredients

900 g ricotta cheese
100 ml cream
2/3 cup caster sugar
1/3 cup plain flour or 1/3 cup gluten-free blended flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons orange zest , finely grated
1/4 cup orange liqueur
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
6 eggs
40 g sliced almonds , very lightly roasted
icing sugar , for dusting
Baked Ricotta Cheesecake is a popular Italian dessert that is a great alternative to traditional New York Style Cheesecake. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line a 9-inch (22cm) springform pan.
2.In a large bowl, beat ricotta, cream, sugar, flour, salt, orange zest, liqueur and vanilla extract until smooth.
3.Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until well combined.
4.Pour batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
5.Bake for 45-50 minutes or until set.
6.Once done, turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside oven with the door slightly ajar to cool completely.
7.After cooling, take it out from the oven and transfer the cheesecake to a serving plate and dust with icing sugar.
8.Refrigerate before serving.
