Ingredients

2 cups red lentils
3 medium sized onions ( chopped )
5 green chilies ( chopped fine )
fresh coriander ( cilantro )
2 tablespoons curry powder
1 1/2 tablespoons dried coriander ( cilantro )
1/2 tablespoon turmeric
1/2 tablespoon garam masala ( if available )
1 teaspoon salt
oil ( for deep frying )
1 cup plain plain yogurt
2 teaspoons english mint sauce ( the kind with more mint than vinegar ! )
Onion Bhajis are crispy, flavorful, and make a great appetizer or snack. Instructions

1.Soak the lentils in water for at least 3 hours, then drain.

3.Heat some oil in a pan and once it's hot, drop the spoonfuls of mixture into the hot oil and fry till they turn golden brown.
4.Once done, take them out onto a paper towel to remove any excess oil.
5.Combine yogurt and English mint sauce in a small mixing bowl to make a dipping sauce.
6.Serve and enjoy!
