Ingredients

8 -10 pandan leaves ( screwpine , cut into 2cm lengths or substitute with a few drops of green coulouring )
200 g glutinous-rice flour ( sifted )
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup hot water
1/4 grated coconut , mixed with
1 pinch salt ( place in a bowl )
60 g palm sugar ( cut into small cube , 3mm )
1 tablespoon soft brown sugar
Onde-Onde Balls are a classic Malaysian dessert that is also popular in Indonesia and Singapore. These sweet, chewy balls are made with glutinous-rice flour and pandan leaves, giving them a distinct green color and unique flavor. Instructions

1.Take pandan leaves and crush them in a mortar and pestle until fine.
2.Strain the juice using cheesecloth or strainer and pour the extract into a mixing bowl.
3.Add sifted glutinous-rice flour and salt to the bowl. Mix well with your hands.
4.Slowly pour hot water into the mixture. Knead it until it forms a smooth dough.
5.In another bowl, mix grated coconut and salt.
6.Roll the palm sugar into small cubes and sprinkle them with soft brown sugar.
7.Start taking small portions of the dough and roll them into balls.
8.Flatten each ball to form a circle and place a cube of palm sugar in it.
9.Fold the edges of the dough together to seal the cube of sugar in.
10.Roll the ball in grated coconut and set aside.
11.Repeat the process until all the dough is used up.
