Ingredients

24 ounces large pitted prunes
1 lb grated coconut ( I measured : one coconut yields about 1 lb of grated coconut )
1/2 lb sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 cup water
1 box clove ( whole )

Instructions

1.In a bowl, mix the grated coconut, sugar, and egg yolks until combined.
2.Add water to a pot and bring to a boil. Add the whole clove box to the pot.
3.Add the pitted prunes to the pot and let them boil for 2 minutes.
4.Remove the prunes from the pot and let them cool.
5.Take one prune at a time and stuff it with the coconut mixture. Roll it carefully to form a small ball (about 1 inch in diameter).
6.Repeat until all prunes have been stuffed and rolled.
7.Enjoy chilled.
