3/4 cup scalded milk , then cooled before adding to yeast
1/2 cup butter , softened
1/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
4 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon softened butter
1 -2 tablespoon milk

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.In a saucepan, combine chopped walnuts, brown sugar, 1/3 cup butter, egg, and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is melted. Set aside to cool.
3.Dissolve yeast in warm water and let stand for 5 minutes.
4.In a large bowl, combine scalded milk, 1/2 cup softened butter, 1/4 cup sugar, 3 eggs, and yeast mixture. Add flour and salt, mixing until it forms a soft dough.
5.Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth. Cover and let rise for 45 minutes.
6.Roll the dough out into a rectangle. Spread the cooled walnut filling over the dough.
7.Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
8.Place the dough in a greased 13x9 inch baking dish. Let rise for another 20 minutes.
9.Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
10.Mix powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon softened butter, and enough milk to make a glaze.
11.Let the cake cool for a few minutes before drizzling the glaze over the top.
12.Slice and serve.
