2 tablespoons butter , divided
1 onion , chopped
1 pound fresh bratwurst , cut into 2-inch pieces
1 head cabbage , cored and quartered
1 pound green beans , trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
1/2 teaspoon granular no-calorie sucralose sweetener ( e.g. , Splenda )
1/2 teaspoon salt
ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

3.Add remaining butter to skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Add bratwurst pieces and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove bratwurst from skillet and set aside.
4.Layer the cabbage and green beans in the skillet and sprinkle with sweetener, salt, and black pepper. Add bratwurst to the top of the vegetables and spread the cooked onion over the bratwurst.
5.Cover skillet and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove cover and bake until vegetables are tender and golden brown, about 15 minutes more.
