3 -4 large potatoes , peeled and sliced thinly

2 medium onions , peeled and sliced
4 -6 4 -6 ounces lancashire cheese or 4 -6 ounces cheshire cheese

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 180C.
2.Grease a large baking dish with butter.
3.Layer half of the sliced potatoes into the bottom of the dish.
4.Add a layer of sliced onions and season with salt and pepper.
5.Add a layer of sliced cheese on top.
6.Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
7.Dot with butter and season again with salt and pepper.
8.Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
9.Remove the foil and cook for a further 30 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
10.Serve hot and enjoy!
