Norfolk Plough Pudding is a traditional British dish that dates back to the 17th century. It is a savory pudding typically made from a suet pastry filled with meat and vegetables. The Norfolk version of this dish uses a flour-based dough instead of suet, and is typically filled with pork sausage, bacon, onion, and sage. This dish is perfect for a comforting dinner on a chilly evening and pairs well with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.

.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
.In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
.Cut in the vegetable shortening using a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
.Gradually add enough cold water until the mixture becomes a soft dough.
.Lightly flour a work surface and roll out the dough to approximately 1/4 inch thickness.
.Spread the breakfast sausage evenly over the dough.
.Sprinkle the chopped bacon, onion, sage, and brown sugar over the top of the sausage evenly.
.Roll up the dough tightly, making sure to pinch the edges to seal the filling inside.
.Place the pudding into a 9 x 5 inch greased loaf pan.
.Bake in preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours or until golden brown.
.Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
