3 cups all-purpose flour , I prefer to use Robin Hood Nutri Flour Blend
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon dried yeast granules
1 5/8 cups water , an eighth of a cup is equal to 2 tablespoons

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Add water and stir until just combined. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest at room temperature for at least 12 hours, or up to 18 hours.
2.Preheat oven to 450°F. Once heated, place a 6 quart Dutch oven with lid in the oven and heat for 30 minutes.
3.While the Dutch oven is heating up, transfer the dough to a well-floured surface and shape into a ball. Cover dough with plastic wrap and let rest while the Dutch oven heats up.
4.Carefully remove the heated Dutch oven from the oven and place the dough inside. Cover with lid and bake for 30 minutes. Remove lid and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the internal temperature is 200-210 degrees F.
5.Remove from oven and let cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

PROS

This bread requires no kneading and is easy to make with just a few ingredients.

The crust is crusty and the inside is soft and airy.

CONS

While it requires few ingredients, this recipe does require planning ahead as it needs to rest for at least 12 hours.

This bread does not keep well and is best eaten within the first day or two of baking.

HEALTH & BENEFITS

This bread is made with all-purpose flour which is not the healthiest option.
