14 manicotti , uncooked
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon onion flakes
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon sugar
3 dashes salt
3 dashes ground black pepper

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.In a large bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, 6 ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon sugar, slightly beaten egg, nutmeg, dried parsley, and black pepper.
3.Pour pasta sauce and water into a 13- x 9-inch (33x23cm) baking dish. Add onion flakes, basil, rosemary, oregano, remaining 1 teaspoon sugar, salt, and black pepper to the sauce and mix well.
4.Stuff uncooked manicotti shells with ricotta mixture and place in baking dish.
5.Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
6.Remove foil and sprinkle remaining 2 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the dish.
7.Bake uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
8.Remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
