3 pounds beef top sirloin , thinly sliced
2 pounds sweet Italian sausage , casings removed
1 onion , chopped
1 green bell pepper , chopped

3 cans tomato sauce
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
1/2 cup honey
1 can kidney beans , rinsed and drained
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
6 tablespoons chili powder
3 tablespoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1/3 cup white sugar
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup masa ( corn flour )

Instructions

1.In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
2.Add the beef top sirloin and sausage, cooking until browned.
3.Remove the meat from the pot and set aside.
4.Add the onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
5.Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chicken bouillon granules, honey, kidney beans, cayenne pepper, chili powder, dried oregano, ground black pepper, salt, and white sugar. Stir well.
6.Return the meat to the pot and stir well.
7.Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
8.Stir in the masa (corn flour) to thicken the chili.
9.Serve hot, topped with shredded cheddar cheese.
