Nalesniki is a traditional Polish crepe that originated in the early 14th century. It is commonly served as a dessert but can also be enjoyed as a breakfast or snack item. The crepes are made with flour, eggs, sugar, salt, and milk to form a thin batter and filled with a warm, sweet and tangy apple filling. The filling is made with chopped apples, cinnamon, sugar, and lemon juice, and it is often garnished with whipped cream or chocolate sauce to enhance the flavors.

Instructions

1.Beat the eggs in a bowl and add milk, sugar, salt, and flour mixing well to make a thin batter.
2.Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Grease lightly and pour about 1/4 cup batter onto the skillet for each crepe. Swirl the pan to distribute the batter evenly.
3.Cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges start to lift and the bottom is golden brown. Flip the crepe using a spatula and cook the other side for an additional 30 seconds.
4.Peel and chop the apples into small cubes and sauté them in butter in a separate pan for about 3 to 4 minutes. Add sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice to the pan and continue cooking for another 2 minutes.
5.Spread 1 tablespoon of the apple filling down the center of each crepe. Roll the crepes up tightly and place them in the pan containing buttered bread crumbs to coat them uniformly.
