Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
32 ounces spaghetti sauce
15 ounces ricotta cheese or 15 ounces cottage cheese
3 cups mozzarella cheese
1 egg
12 ounces no-boil lasagna noodles
This recipe for My Own Lasagna OAMC is a classic, well-loved dish that is perfect for a busy weeknight meal. It is also ideal for making ahead of time and freezing for an easy meal later. The layers of meat sauce, cheese, and lasagna noodles make it a hearty and satisfying meal that the whole family is sure to enjoy. While it may not be the most healthful meal, it is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking up beef in small pieces as it cooks.
3.Add spaghetti sauce to the browned beef and let simmer for 10 minutes.
4.In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 2 cups of mozzarella cheese and the egg.
5.In a 9x13 glass baking dish, spread a small amount of the meat sauce across the bottom of the dish and layer lasagna noodles to cover the sauce.
6.Spread half of the cheese mixture over the lasagna noodles and top with meat sauce.
7.Repeat the layers of noodles and cheese mixture, then top with the remaining meat sauce.
8.Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of meat sauce.
9.Cover the lasagna tightly with foil. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
10.Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

This recipe contains beef which some people choose not to consume.

Replacing beef with turkey or chicken can make this dish healthier.
