1 can cream of chicken soup

1 can enchilada sauce

1 lb hamburger meat

My Mom's Mexican Dorito Casserole is a comfort food classic that has been in my family for years. It is a hearty and cheesy casserole that combines simple ingredients like hamburger meat, canned soups, green chili peppers, and Kraft Mexican Style Finely Shredded Four Cheese, with the bold crunch of Doritos chips. This casserole is perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner, or as a satisfying party dish that can feed a crowd. It is also customizable, as you can change out the type of chips or cheese to suit your own personal tastes.

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
2.Brown the hamburger meat in a large skillet, adding the frozen onions when the meat is nearly browned through. Drain any excess grease.
3.Add the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, enchilada sauce and green chili peppers to the skillet with the meat, and stir to combine.
4.In a large baking dish, arrange a layer of Doritos on the bottom of the dish. Spoon half of the meat mixture over the chips, then top with half of the shredded cheese. Repeat the layers with the remaining chips, meat mixture and cheese.
5.Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and continue to bake for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the casserole is heated through. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
