2 lbs sirloin steaks , cubed
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups mushrooms
1 cup onion , chopped
2 cloves garlic
8 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 cans beef broth
2 cups sour cream
2 cups uncooked wild rice
My Dad's Beef Stroganoff is a dish that holds a special place in my heart. It was a favorite meal growing up, and it always brings back memories of cozy family dinners. This classic comfort food dish is perfect for chilly evenings, and it's sure to warm you up from the inside out. Made with tender sirloin steak, sautéed mushrooms and onions, and a creamy sauce served over wild rice, it's a crowd-pleaser that's easy to customize to your liking.

Instructions

1.Sprinkle 2 tbsp flour and 1 tsp salt over cubed steaks and toss to coat.
2.In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp butter and brown steaks.
3.Remove steaks and add 6 tbsp butter to skillet. Sauté mushrooms, onions, and garlic until tender.
4.Stir in 6 tbsp flour and ketchup. Add beef broth gradually, stirring constantly.
5.Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thickened. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
6.Stir in sour cream and add steaks back in. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
7.Serve over cooked wild rice.
