Ingredients

2 cups long grain white rice , rinsed and drained
3/4 cup peas , rinsed and drained
1 medium yellow onion , thinly sliced
4 cups chicken stock
3 cloves
1 large bay leaf
1 black cardamom pod ( black elachi )
5 whole black peppercorns
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 - 1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 tablespoon ginger paste
4 tablespoons oil
salt

Instructions

7.Remove from heat and keep covered for 10 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
